Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace
By (the wind) those sent (as horses') mane (in succession), 1 by (the angels) as swift as blowing winds, 2 and the rain-spreading winds, 3 Then separate them, one from another, 4 Then spread abroad a Message, 5 [promising] freedom from blame or [offering] a warning! 6 Assuredly, what ye are promised must come to pass. 7 Then when the stars lose their lights; 8 And when the heaven is opened 9 and the mountains are blown away, 10 And when the apostles are gathered at their appointed time 11 For what Day are these (portents) deferred? 12 one will be told, "To the Day of Distinction". 13 Would that you knew about the Day of Judgment! 14 On that day, woe will be to those who have rejected God's revelations! 15 Did We not destroy the men of old (for their evil)? 16 Then caused the latter folk to follow after? 17 That is what We shall do to those who are guilty of crime. 18 Woe on that Day unto those who give the lie to the truth! 19 Did We not create you from a worthless water (semen, etc.)? 20 which We placed within a sure lodging 21 For a period (of gestation), determined (according to need)? 22 So We did measure, and We are the Best to measure (the things). 23 Woe that day unto those who cry it lies! 24 Have We not made the earth a container 25 Both for the living and the dead, 26 and did We not firmly fix towering mountains on it and give you sweet water to drink? 27 Woe on that Day to those that give the lie to the Truth! 28 “Move towards what you used to deny!” 29 "Depart you to a shadow (of Hell-fire smoke ascending) in three columns, 30 which neither provides (cooling) shade nor protection against the flames; 31 Lo! it throweth up sparks like the castles, 32 As if they were tawny camels. 33 Woe, that Day, to the deniers. 34 that Day on which they will not [be able to] utter a word, 35 And permission shall not be given to them so that they should offer excuses. 36 Woe, that Day, to the deniers. 37 Such is the Day of Decision. We will gather you with the ancients. 38 and if you [think that you] have a subterfuge left, try to outwit Me!" 39 Woe on that Day unto those who give the lie to the truth! 40
