Those who deny the truth say, "When we have turned to dust like our fathers, shall we be brought back to life again? 67 We were promised this, forsooth, we and our fathers. (All) this is naught but fables of the men of old. 68 Say, "Roam across the earth and observe what was the end of the sinful ones." 69 And grieve thou not for them, nor be in distress because of what they plot (against thee). 70 They say, 'When shall this promise come to pass, if you speak the truth?' 71 say thou: "It may well be that something of that which [in your ignorance] you so hastily demand has already drawn close unto you." 72 And indeed, your Lord is full of bounty for the people, but most of them do not show gratitude." 73 Surely, your Lord knows what they hide in their hearts and what they reveal. 74 And there is nothing hidden in the heaven or the earth but it is in a clear Record. 75 Verily this Qur'an recounteth with truth unto the Children of Isra'il much of that wherein they differ. 76 And indeed it is a guidance and a mercy for the Muslims. 77 Indeed your Lord will decide between them by His judgement. He is All-Mighty, All-Knowing. 78 So put thy trust in Allah: for thou art on (the path of) manifest Truth. 79 You do not make the dead hear, nor do you make the deaf hear you call when they turn about, retreating. 80 You cannot guide the straying blind ones. You can only make hear those who believe in Our revelations submissively. 81 ۞ And when the word shall come to be fulfilled concerning them, We shall bring forth a beast of the earth speaking unto them, that the people have not of Our signs been convinced. 82
