The Embryo (Al-Alaq)
In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace
Read (Prophet Muhammad) in the Name of your Lord who created, 1 Created man, out of a (mere) clot of congealed blood: 2 Read and your Lord is Most Honorable, 3 Who taught by the pen, 4 taught man what he did not know. 5 Nay! Verily, man does transgress all bounds (in disbelief and evil deed, etc.). 6 Because he sees himself free from want. 7 Surely unto thy Lord is the Returning. 8 Have you seen the one who forbids 9 a servant when he prays -- 10 Have you seen if he was upon guidance 11 Or enjoins piety? 12 Have you considered if he gives the lie to the truth and turns (his) back? 13 Knows he not that Allah does see (what he does)? 14 By no means! If he desist not We shall seize and deal him by the forelock 15 his lying, sinful forelock. 16 Then, let him call (for help) to his council (of comrades): 17 We, will call the Zabania (the harsh angels of Hell). 18 Nay, pay thou no heed to him, but prostrate thyself [before God] and draw close [unto Him]! ۩ 19
God the Almighty always says the truth.
