The Rolling (Al-Takweer)
In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate
WHEN THE SUN is folded up, 1 when the stars shall be thrown down, 2 when the mountains shall be set moving, 3 And when the pregnant she-camels shall be neglected; 4 The wild beasts stampede on the run, 5 And when the seas are filled with flame 6 When the souls are sorted out, (being joined, like with like); 7 And when the girl [who was] buried alive is asked 8 for what crime she was slain, 9 when the records of men's deeds are laid open, 10 and when heaven is laid bare, 11 and when the blazing fire [of hell] is kindled bright, 12 And when Paradise is brought near, 13 [on that Day] every human being will come to know what he has prepared [for himself]. 14 So verily, I swear by the planets that recede (i.e. disappear during the day and appear during the night). 15 The planets withdrawing into themselves, 16 and the night as it darkly falls, 17 and the first breath of morning. 18 Truly, this is the word brought by a noble messenger, 19 Endued with Power, with rank before the Lord of the Throne, 20 Obeyed one; then trustworthy. 21 Your companion (Muhammad) does not suffer from any mental illness 22 He certainly saw him (Gabriel) high up on the horizon in his original form 23 And Muhammad is not a withholder of [knowledge of] the unseen. 24 And it (the Quran) is not the word of the outcast Shaitan (Satan). 25 Then where are you going? 26 It is naught but a reminder for the nations, 27 to everyone of you who wills to walk a straight way. 28 but will you shall not, unless God wills, the Lord of all Being. 29
