The Believers (Al-Mu' minoon)
In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
۞ Successful indeed are the believers; 1 those who are humble in their prayer; 2 those who turn away from all that is frivolous; 3 And those who for the sake of purification are doers. 4 who strictly guard their private parts 5 Except from their wives and women slaves of old are free of blame, 6 As for those who seek beyond that, they are transgressors" 7 those who are true to their trust, 8 and who guard their prayers [from all worldly intent]. 9 These! they are the inheritors. 10 Who will inherit al-Firdaus. They will abide therein eternally. 11 Man We did create from a quintessence (of clay); 12 then We placed him as a drop of fluid in a safe place, 13 Then We fashioned the sperm into an embryo, then fashioned the embryo into a shapeless lump of flesh; then from the lump of flesh We fashioned bones, then clothed the bones with flesh. Thus We formed him into a new creation. So blessed be God the best of Creators. 14 Thereafter you will certainly die 15 Then (again), surely, you will be resurrected on the Day of Resurrection. 16 And indeed, We have created above you seven [celestial] orbits: and never are We unmindful of [any aspect of Our] creation. 17 And We sent down from the sky water (rain) in (due) measure, and We gave it lodging in the earth, and verily, We are Able to take it away. 18 Then We produce for you therewith gardens of date-palms and grapes, wherein is much fruit for you and whereof ye eat; 19 We have also created for you the tree that grows on Mount Sinai which produces oil and relish for those who use it. 20 And lo! in the cattle there is verily a lesson for you. We give you to drink of that which is in their bellies, and many uses have ye in them, and of them do ye eat; 21 and upon them and on the ships you are carried. 22
