The Believers (Al-Mu' minoon)
In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
۞ THE TRUE BELIEVERS will be successful, 1 Who are humble in their prayers, 2 And who do not incline towards indecent matters. 3 And who are payers of the poor-due; 4 Who guard their sex 5 Except from their wives or (the captives and slaves) that their right hands possess, for then, they are free from blame; 6 but those who seek to go beyond that are transgressors -- 7 those who are true to their trust, 8 And who pay heed to their prayers. 9 These will be the heirs, 10 that will inherit the paradise; [and] therein shall they abide. 11 And indeed We created man (Adam) out of an extract of clay (water and earth). 12 Thereafter We made him (the offspring of Adam) as a Nutfah (mixed drops of the male and female sexual discharge) (and lodged it) in a safe lodging (womb of the woman). 13 Then We made the Nutfah into a clot (a piece of thick coagulated blood), then We made the clot into a little lump of flesh, then We made out of that little lump of flesh bones, then We clothed the bones with flesh, and then We brought it forth as another creation. So blessed be Allah, the Best of creators. 14 Then lo! after that ye surely die. 15 then on the Day of Resurrection you shall surely be raised up. 16 We have indeed fashioned above you seven paths. Never were We unaware of the task of creation. 17 We sent down water from the sky in right measure, and caused it to stay in the earth, and We have the power to cause it to vanish (in the manner We please). 18 And by means of this [water] We bring forth for you gardens of date-palms and vines, wherein you have fruit abundant and whereof you eat, 19 Also a tree springing out of Mount Sinai, which produces oil, and relish for those who use it for food. 20 And Verily! In the cattle there is indeed a lesson for you. We give you to drink (milk) of that which is in their bellies. And there are, in them, numerous (other) benefits for you, and of them you eat. 21 and upon them and on the ships you are carried. 22
