The Galloppers (Al-Aadeyaat)
11 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Afternoon (Al-'Asr) before Bounty (Al-Kawthar)
In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
I CALL TO witness the chargers, snorting, rushing to battle before the others, 1 and produce sparks 2 while running during a raid at dawn, 3 And therein raising dust. 4 And penetrate forthwith into the midst (of the foe) en masse;- 5 Most surely man is ungrateful to his Lord. 6 And indeed he himself is a witness to it. 7 And most surely he is tenacious in the love of wealth. 8 ۞ But does he not know that when the contents of the graves are scattered 9 And that within the breasts is obtained, 10 indeed, on that Day their Lord will be aware of them! 11
True are the words of Allah the Almighty.
