The Comet (Al-Taareq)
17 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Town (Al-Balad) before The Moon (Al-Qamar)
In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate
By the heaven and the Morning Star 1 And what will make you to know what At-Tariq (night-comer) is? 2 The very brightly shining star! 3 Over every soul there is a watcher. 4 LET MAN, then, observe out of what he has been created: 5 He is created from a water gushing forth. 6 issuing from between the loins [of man] and the pelvic arch [of woman]. 7 Verily, (Allah) is Able to bring him back (to life)! 8 On the Day when secrets are disclosed, 9 he will have no power, nor anyone to help him. 10 So I call to witness the rain-producing sky, 11 and the replenishing earth, 12 Most surely it is a decisive word, 13 And no trifle. 14 They are hatching up a plot, 15 and I too am devising a guile. 16 So leave the unbelievers to themselves; respite them awhile. 17
Allah the Almighty always says the truth.
End of Surah: The Comet (Al-Taareq). Sent down in Mecca after The Town (Al-Balad) before The Moon (Al-Qamar)
