The Comet (Al-Taareq)
17 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Town (Al-Balad) before The Moon (Al-Qamar)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
By the sky, and by the nightly comer! 1 And what could make thee conceive what it is that comes in the night? 2 It is the piercing star. 3 There is no soul which is not guarded (by the two angels who record all of its deeds). 4 So let man see from what he is created! 5 he has been created out of a seminal fluid 6 emanating from between the loins and the ribs. 7 Indeed Allah is Able to return him. 8 On the day when hidden things shall be made manifest, 9 He shall have neither strength nor helper. 10 By the heaven with its recurring cycle of rain, 11 And the earth which splitteth (with the growth of trees and plants) 12 this is indeed a Decisive Word, 13 not a flippant jest. 14 As for them, they are but plotting a scheme, 15 And I (too) will make a scheme. 16 So give a respite to the disbelievers. Deal thou gently with them for a while. 17
True are the words of God the Almighty.

قراءة القرآن مترجماً إلى الإنجليزية أو أية لغة أخرى أشبه بقراءة كتب التفسير من قراءة ترجمات حرفية.
Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
