And when the envoys came to the family of Lot, 61 He said, “You are an unfamiliar people.” 62 They said, "No, but we bring you news about what they disputed, 63 And we have come to you with the truth, and we are most surely truthful. 64 So set out thou with thy house hold in a portion of the night, and follow thou their backs, and let not one of you look back, and pass whither ye are commanded. 65 And We communicated to him the decree that by the morning those people will be totally destroyed. 66 And the inhabitants of the city came rejoicing (at the news of the young men's arrival). 67 He said, “These are my guests – do not dishonour me.” 68 but be conscious of God and disgrace me not!" 69 They said: forbade we not thee against the worlds? 70 He said: These are my daughters, if you will do (aught). 71 Verily, by your life (O Muhammad SAW), in their wild intoxication, they were wandering blindly. 72 At sunrise a dreadful Shout seized them. 73 And We made the upside there of downwards, and We rained on them stones of baked clay. 74 Verily therein are signs for men of sagacity. 75 That town lies on a road which still exists. 76 Surely! Therein is indeed a sign for the believers. 77 And the dwellers of the thicket also were most surely unjust. 78 On them, too, We took vengeance, and they are both on a clear roadway. 79
