The All High (Al-A'alaa)
19 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Rolling (Al-Takweer) before The Night (Al-Layl)
In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate
۞ Glorify the name of your Lord, the Most High, 1 who created all things and gave them due proportions, 2 And Who has measured (preordainments for each and everything even to be blessed or wretched); then guided (i.e. showed mankind the right as well as wrong paths, and guided the animals to pasture); 3 Who brought forth the pasture, 4 then caused it to wither away. 5 We shall enable thee to recite, and then thou shalt not forget, 6 unless God wills it to be otherwise. He knows all that is made public and all that remains hidden. 7 We shall take you slowly towards ease. 8 REMIND, THEN, [others of the truth, regardless of] whether this reminding [would seem to] be of use [or not]: 9 and he who fears shall remember, 10 But the wretched one will avoid it - 11 He who will be flung to the great Fire 12 Wherein he will neither die (to be in rest) nor live (a good living). 13 He indeed shall be successful who purifies himself, 14 remembering his Lord's name and praying. 15 But ye prefer the life of this world, 16 Although the Hereafter is better and more lasting. 17 Indeed, this is in the former scriptures, 18 the scrolls of Abraham and Moses. 19
True are the words of Allah the Almighty.
