Then when the sent ones entered unto the household of Lut. 61 He said, "Indeed, you are people unknown." 62 They answered: "Nay, but we have come unto thee with [the announcement of] something that they [who are given to evil] have always been wont to call in question, 63 and we have come to you with the truth, and surely we are truthful, 64 Depart with your family in a part of the night and walk behind them and let none of you turn round. Go to a place where you are commanded' 65 And We decreed unto him this commandment because the last of those was to be cut off in the early morning. 66 And the people of the town came rejoicing. 67 Lut said: "These are my guests: disgrace me not: 68 Have fear of Allah, and do not humiliate me." 69 They answered: "Have we not forbidden thee [to offer protection] to any kind of people?" 70 Lot exclaimed in exasperation: "If you are bent on doing something, then here are my daughters." 71 By thy life, they wandered blindly in their dazzlement, 72 Then the (Awful) Cry overtook them at the sunrise. 73 And We turned the township upside down and rained upon them stones of heated clay. 74 Surely in that are signs for such as mark; 75 for, behold, those [towns] stood by a road that still exists. 76 surely in that is a sign for believers. 77 And the companions of the thicket were [also] wrongdoers. 78 So We punished them too. They are both situated by the highway, clearly visible. 79

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
