Overwhelming (Al-Ghaasheyah)
26 verses, revealed in Mecca after Drivers of the Winds (Al-Dhaareyaat) before The Cave (Al-Kahf)
In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful
HAS NEWS OF the Overpowering Event reached you? 1 On that Day, there shall be downcast faces, 2 Laboring, toiling, 3 Burning in the scorching fire, 4 Drinking from a boiling spring, 5 They will have no food except bitter thorn, 6 Neither nourishing nor banishing hunger. 7 Many faces will be joyous on that day, 8 Glad with their endeavour (for their good deeds which they did in this world, along with the true Faith of Islamic Monotheism). 9 in a Garden on high, 10 where they will hear no idle talk. 11 There is a stream of running water in it; 12 Within it are couches raised high 13 and prepared goblets, 14 well-placed cushions, 15 And carpets spread out. 16 So do they not see the camel – how it has been created? 17 how the heavens are raised up high, 18 And at the mountains, how they are rooted? 19 And how the earth was outstretched? 20 Therefore do thou give admonition, for thou art one to admonish. 21 You are not charged to oversee them. 22 Except whoever turns away and disbelieves – 23 Him Allah shall torment with the greatest torment. 24 Lo! unto Us is their return 25 Ours is surely then to reckon with them. 26

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
