The All Compassionate (Al-Rahman)
78 verses, revealed in Medina after Thunder (Al-Ra'ad) before The Human (Al-Insan)
In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
۞ THE MOST GRACIOUS 1 has imparted this Qur'an [unto man]. 2 Has created Prophet Mohammed (peace and blessings be upon him) as the soul of mankind. 3 He has imparted unto him articulate thought and speech. 4 The sun and the moon [move] by precise calculation, 5 And the grasses and the trees bow (to Him) in adoration. 6 And the sky He hath uplifted; and He hath set the measure, 7 So that none may err against the scales, 8 And observe the weight with equity and do not make the balance deficient. 9 And the earth He has put for the creatures. 10 Therein is fruit and palms having sheathed clusters, 11 And grain having husks and scented plants. 12 Which, then, of the benefits of your Lord, will ye twain belie? 13 He has created man from dry, rotten clay like the potter's, 14 and has created the jinn from the flame of fire. 15 Which then of the bounties of your Lord will you deny? 16 Lord of the two Easts, Lord of the two Wests. 17 So O men and jinns! Which favour of your Lord will you deny? 18 He unleashed the two seas so that they merge together, 19 [yet] between them is a barrier which they may not transgress. 20 Then which of the favours of your Lord will ye deny? 21 From the two oceans comes pearls and coral. 22 Which, of your Lord's wonders would you deny? 23 And His are the ships reared aloft in the sea like mountains. 24 Then which of the Blessings of your Lord will you both (jinns and men) deny? 25
