So did you observe him who turned away? 33 who at first gave a little, then later held back? 34 Or, does he possess knowledge of the Unseen, and can therefore see? 35 Hath he not been told of that which is in the writs of Musa. 36 and of Abraham, who lived up to the trust? 37 that no soul shall bear the burden of another; 38 That man can have nothing but what he strives for; 39 And that his effort will soon be scrutinised? 40 Then will he be rewarded with a reward complete; 41 and that the final end is unto thy Lord, 42 That it is He who makes you happy and morose, 43 That it is He Who granteth Death and Life; 44 and that He Himself created the two sexes: male and female, 45 From a sperm-drop when it is emitted 46 And that on Him is the bringing forth a second time; 47 And that He it is Who enricheth and contenteth; 48 that He is the Lord of Sirius. 49 And that it is He Who earlier destroyed the tribe of Aad? 50 and Thamood, and He did not spare them, 51 And the people of Noah before. Indeed, it was they who were [even] more unjust and oppressing. 52 He plunged the villages 53 And covered them by that which He covered. 54 Then which of the favors of your Lord do you doubt? 55 This is a warning just like those of former times. 56 The Day of Resurrection draws near, 57 apart from God none can disclose it. 58 Do you, perchance, find this tiding strange? 59 Or do you laugh, and do you not weep 60 While you are indulging in varieties. 61 Therefore prostrate for Allah, and worship Him.
