Al-Aadeyaat
The Galloppers (Al-Aadeyaat)
11 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Afternoon (Al-'Asr) before Bounty (Al-Kawthar)
Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
By oath of those that sprint, breathing heavily. (The horses used in Holy War.) 1 And the producers of sparks [when] striking 2 by the dawnraiders, 3 Then, therewith, with their trail of dust, 4 and penetrate deep into a host. 5 Verily man is unto his Lord ungrateful. 6 And lo! he is a witness unto that; 7 And verily, he is violent in the love of wealth. 8 ۞ Does he not then know when what is in the graves is raised, 9 And that within the breasts is obtained, 10 On that day their Lord surely knows all about them! 11
God Almighty has spoken the truth.
