And We verily gave grace unto Moses and Aaron, 114 and We saved them and their people from the awesome calamity [of bondage,] 115 And helped them, so they were victorious. 116 And We gave them the clear Scripture 117 And We guided them to the Straight Way. 118 And left (their remembrance) for posterity. 119 Peace be on Musa and Haroun. 120 This is how We reward the virtuous. 121 Indeed they are two of Our high ranking, firmly believing bondmen. 122 Verily Elias is one of the apostles. 123 When he said to his people, “Do you not fear?” 124 Will you invoke Baal and forsake [God,] the best of artisans 125 who is your Lord and the Lord of your forefathers?" 126 But they cried him lies; so they will be among the arraigned, 127 Save single-minded slaves of Allah. 128 We left him thus to be succeeded by a group [of followers] among the following generations -- 129 Peace be on Elias. 130 Thus indeed do We reward those who do right. 131 he was among Our believing servants. 132 And verily, Lout (Lot) was one of the Messengers. 133 When We delivered him and his followers, all-- 134 Except an old woman (his wife) who was among those who remained behind. 135 We then destroyed the others. 136 Verily, you pass by them in the morning. 137 And at night. Will ye not therefore reflect? 138
