The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat)
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
By those (angels) that pluck out the soul from depths, 1 by the angels who gently release the souls of the believers, 2 And those who glide swimmingly, 3 and vie with the others (in carrying out their Lord's behests); 4 And then they manage the affair, 5 On the day when the first trump resoundeth. 6 Followed by oft-repeated (commotions): 7 hearts will be throbbing, 8 Eyes be lowered in submission. 9 The disbelievers say, “Will we really return to our former state?” 10 even after we are fragmented bones' 11 They have said, "Such a resurrection will certainly be a great loss". 12 But it will be only a single blow, 13 When, behold, they find themselves over the earth alive after their death, 14 (Muhammad), have you heard the story of Moses 15 His Lord called to him in the Sacred Valley of Towa, 16 saying, "Go to the Pharaoh. He has transgressed beyond all bounds. 17 And say to him, "Would you like to reform yourself? 18 that I may direct you to your Lord and then you hold Him in awe?'” 19 Moses showed him the great miracle 20 But he denied and disobeyed, 21 and hastily turned away, 22 And he gathered [his people] and called out 23 And then said, “I am your most supreme lord.” 24 Wherefore Allah laid hold of him with the punishment of the Hereafter and of the present. 25 Verily in this is an instructive warning for whosoever feareth (Allah). 26
