But nay! I swear by all that ye see 38 And that which you do not see. 39 most surely, this is the word brought by a noble messenger, 40 It is not the speech of a poet (little do you believe) 41 Nor the word of a soothsayer; little is it that you mind. 42 It is a revelation from the Lord of the Universe. 43 Had he invented sayings against Us, 44 We would have seized him by the right hand; 45 And then severed his life-artery, 46 Then none among you would be his saviour. 47 And verily, this Quran is a Reminder for the Muttaqun (pious - see V. 2:2). 48 And verily, We know that there are some among you that belie (this Quran).
