Shattering (Al-Infitaar)
In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful
۞ When heaven is split open, 1 And when the stars become dispersed, 2 When the oceans begin to flow, 3 And the sepulchres are overturned, 4 A soul will know what it hath sent before (it) and what left behind. 5 O MAN! What is it that lures thee away from thy bountiful Sustainer, 6 Who created you, shaped you, and made you well-proportioned, 7 In whatever form He willed has He assembled you. 8 Nay! But ye do reject Right and Judgment! 9 Surely, there are guardians watching over you, 10 noble scribes, 11 They know (and understand) all that ye do. 12 the virtuous will dwell in bliss, 13 and the libertines shall be in a fiery furnace 14 They will enter it on the Day of Justice. 15 to burn therein. 16 They will never be able to escape from it. Would that you knew what the Day of Judgment is! 17 How then can you comprehend what the Day of Judgement is? 18 It is the day when no soul will have power to do the least for a soul, and God's alone will be done. 19
