Al-Infitaar
Shattering (Al-Infitaar)
19 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat) before The Splitting (Al-Inshiqaaq)
Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
۞ When the heaven shall be cleft, 1 When the Stars are scattered; 2 When the seas are poured forth, 3 And when the [contents of] graves are scattered, 4 then a soul shall know its works, the former and the latter. 5 O man! What has deceived you about your generous Lord 6 Who created you proportionately and fashioned you 7 In whatever Form He wills, does He put thee together. 8 By no means! Aye, ye belie the Requital. 9 yet there are over you watchers 10 noble scribes, 11 Knowing all what you may do. 12 Most surely the righteous are in bliss, 13 And verily the ungodly shall be in a Scorch. 14 which they will enter on the Day of Judgment 15 nor shall they ever be absent from it. 16 And what could make thee conceive what that Judgment Day will be? 17 Again, what shall teach thee what is the Day of Doom? 18 The day on which no soul will have the authority over any other soul; and on that day, the entire command belongs to Allah. 19
