Shattering (Al-Infitaar)
19 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat) before The Splitting (Al-Inshiqaaq)
In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
۞ When the heaven splits open. 1 when the stars are scattered, 2 when the seas swarm over, 3 when the graves are overturned, 4 (Then) a person will know what he has sent forward and (what he has) left behind (of good or bad deeds). 5 O MAN! What is it that lures thee away from thy bountiful Sustainer, 6 Who created you proportionately and fashioned you 7 in whatever form He pleased? 8 No! But you deny the Recompense. 9 And indeed, [appointed] over you are keepers, 10 watching over you 11 who know what you do. 12 Verily the pious shall be in Delight. 13 And the Wicked - they will be in the Fire, 14 They shall enter it on the day of judgment. 15 And will not be removed from it. 16 And what will explain to thee what the Day of Judgment is? 17 Again, what will make you realize what the day of judgment is? 18 (It will be) the Day when no person shall have power (to do) anything for another, and the Decision, that Day, will be (wholly) with Allah. 19
