Noah called to Us, and We are the Best to answer. 75 We saved him and his people from great distress, 76 And We made his descendants those remaining [on the earth] 77 We perpetuated his praise in later generations. 78 Peace be upon Noah among all the nations. 79 Thus do We reward all those who do good. 80 he was among Our believing servants. 81 Then the rest we overwhelmed in the Flood. 82 ۞ And most surely Ibrahim followed his way. 83 Recall what time he came unto his Lord with a heart whole. 84 When he said to his father and his people: What is it that you worship? 85 It is falsehood that you desire gods other than Allah! 86 What do you think of the Lord of the Worlds' 87 The people invited him to attend their feast). Then he looked at the stars 88 And he said, "I am indeed sick (at heart)!" 89 But they turned their backs on him and went away. 90 Thereupon he approached their gods stealthily and said, "What! You do not eat [of the offerings placed before you]? 91 "What is the matter with you that ye speak not (intelligently)?" 92 Then he turned upon them, striking them with his right hand, 93 So they (people) advanced towards him, hastening. 94 "Why do you worship these you carve yourselves," he asked, 95 While Allah created you and that which you do?" 96 They said, 'Build him a building, and cast him into the furnace!' 97 They plotted against him, but We brought humiliation upon them. 98 And [Abraham] said: "Verily, I shall [leave this land and] go wherever my Sustainer will guide me!" 99 My Lord! grant me of the doers of good deeds. 100 We gave him the good news that he would have a patient, forbearing son. 101 And when he reached the age of traveling with him, he said: 'My son, while I was sleeping I saw that I shall slaughter (sacrifice) you, tell me what is your opinion' He replied: 'Father, do as you are ordered (by Allah). Allah willing, you shall find me one of those who are steadfast' 102 Then (remember) when they both submitted to Allah’s command, and Ibrahim lay his son facing downwards. (The knife did not hurt Ismail) 103 We called out to him, "Abraham, 104 You have fulfilled the dream (vision)!" Verily! Thus do We reward the Muhsinun (good-doers - see V. 2:112). 105 Verily that! that was a trial manifest. 106 And We ransomed him with a great sacrifice (i.e. a ram); 107 and left for him among the later folk 108 Salamun (peace) be upon Ibrahim (Abraham)!" 109 That is how We reward those who do good. 110 Verily, he was one of Our believing slaves. 111 And We gave him the good news of Isaac - a prophet,- one of the Righteous. 112 We blessed him and Isaac: but of their progeny are (some) that do right, and (some) that obviously do wrong, to their own souls. 113

When reading the Colorful Quran in English transliterated Arabic mode, you may not notice that there is an algorithm designed to match the pause requirements of the original Arabic scripture, (waqf signs). As you may know, the original Arabic Quran has five main types of pauses, (waqf) signs. (1) Compulsory break, where the transliteration uses a full stop. (2) Optional pause with the preference for pausing, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a probability of two thirds. (3) Optional stop with an equal preference for pausing and resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a half-half probability. (4) Optional pause with the preference for resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a chance of one third. (5) Attraction pause, also called hugging, or (mu’anaka) sign, where it is compulsory to pause at either one of two nearby positions, but not both; where the transliteration inserts a comma at either one of the two locations with a half-half probability.
