3/4 Hizb 45
< random >
Noah called to Us, and We are the Best to answer. 75 And We saved him and his household from the great distress, 76 And made his progeny to endure (on this earth); 77 We perpetuated his praise in later generations. 78 Salamun (peace) be upon Nuh (Noah) (from Us) among the 'Alamin (mankind, jinns and all that exists)!" 79 Verily We! thus We recompense the well-doers. 80 For he was one of our believing Servants. 81 Then the rest we overwhelmed in the Flood. 82 ۞ And lo! of his persuasion verily was Abraham 83 when he came unto his Lord with a pure heart, 84 Behold! he said to his father and to his people, "What is that which ye worship? 85 Is it false deities that you want to serve rather than Allah? 86 Then what is your thought about the Lord of the worlds?" 87 Then he cast a glance at the stars, 88 and he said, 'Surely I am sick.' 89 So they turned away from him, and departed (for fear of the disease). 90 Thereupon he approached their gods stealthily and said, "What! You do not eat [of the offerings placed before you]? 91 Why do you not speak?" 92 then he turned on them, striking them down with his right hand. 93 And (his people) came toward him, hastening. 94 He said, 'Do you serve what you hew, 95 and God created you and what you make?' 96 They said, “Construct a building (furnace) for him, and then cast him in the blazing fire!” 97 Their desire was to outwit him, but We made them to be the humiliated. 98 And he said: "I am going away to my Lord who will show me the way. 99 Lord, grant me a righteous son." 100 So We gave him the good news of a boy, possessing forbearance. 101 Then, when (the son) reached (the age of) (serious) work with him, he said: "O my son! I see in vision that I offer thee in sacrifice: Now see what is thy view!" (The son) said: "O my father! Do as thou art commanded: thou will find me, if Allah so wills one practising Patience and Constancy!" 102 And when they had both submitted, and his son had laid down prostrate upon his forehead, 103 And We called out to him saying: O Ibrahim! 104 You have fulfilled the vision." Indeed, We thus reward the doers of good. 105 That was indeed a trying test. 106 And We ransomed him with a tremendous sacrifice, 107 And We perpetuated (praise) to him among the later generations. 108 Peace be unto Ibrahim: 109 Thus do We reward the good. 110 He was one of Our believing worshipers. 111 And we gave him tidings of the birth of Isaac, a prophet of the righteous. 112 And We blessed him and Isaac. Among their descendants are some who do good, but some who wrong themselves. 113
