The tribe of Thamud also rejected the messengers. 141 When their fellowman Saleh said to them, “Do you not fear?” 142 I am a trustworthy Messengers sent to you. 143 "So fear Allah, keep your duty to Him, and obey me. 144 'I ask of you no wage for this; my wage falls only upon the Lord of all Being. 145 Will ye be left secure in that which is here before us, 146 amidst gardens and springs 147 and cornfields, and palm-trees laden with fruit -- 148 Will you still skilfully hew houses out of the mountains? 149 "Be, then, conscious of God, and pay heed unto me, 150 Do not obey the orders of the transgressors 151 Who cause corruption in the land and do not amend." 152 They said, 'Thou art merely one of those that are bewitched; 153 you are no different from a mortal like us. So produce a sign if you are truthful." 154 Salih said: "This is a she-camel. There is a day set for her to drink and there is a day set for you to drink. 155 and do her no harm, lest suffering befall you on an awesome day!" 156 But they hamstrung her; and on the morrow were repentant, 157 For they were seized by the torment. Verily there was a sign in this, but most of them did not believe. 158 Your Lord is the Mighty One, the Merciful. 159

عند قراءة القرآن الملون في وضعية اللغة العربية المرسومة بالأحرف الإنجليزية، قد لا تلاحظ وجود منظومة برمجية مصممة لمطابقة متطلبات علامات الوقف في النص العربي الأصلي. فكما تعلم، يحتوي القرآن على خمسة أنواع رئيسية من علامات الوقف. (1) وقف لازم، حيث يستخدم الرسم الإنجليزي نقطة وقف. (2) وقف جائز مع الوقف أولى، حيث يستخدم الرسم الإنجليزي فاصلة قد تظهر باحتمال الثلثين. (3) وقف جائز مع تساوي أولوية الوقف والوصل، حيث يستخدم الرسم الإنجليزي فاصلة قد تظهر باحتمال النصف للنصف. (4) وقف جائز مع الوصل أولى، حيث يستخدم الرسم الإنجليزي فاصلة قد تظهر باحتمال الثلث. When reading the Colorful Quran in English transliterated Arabic mode, you may not notice that there is an algorithm designed to match the pause requirements of the original Arabic scripture, (waqf signs). As you may know, the original Arabic Quran has five main types of pauses, (waqf) signs. (1) Compulsory break, where the transliteration uses a full stop. (2) Optional pause with the preference for pausing, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a probability of two thirds. (3) Optional stop with an equal preference for pausing and resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a half-half probability. (4) Optional pause with the preference for resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a chance of one third. (5) Attraction pause, also called hugging, or (mu’anaka) sign, where it is compulsory to pause at either one of two nearby positions, but not both; where the transliteration inserts a comma at either one of the two locations with a half-half probability.
