I say the truth, and call the moon to witness, 32 by the retreating night, 33 And the daybreak when it shines; 34 Surely it (hell) is one of the gravest (misfortunes), 35 A warning unto humankind 36 To whoever wills among you to proceed or stay behind. 37 Every soul is pledged to what it does, 38 Save the fellows of the right. 39 In gardens they will ask one another 40 about the guilty ones: 41 “What drove you to Hell?” 42 They will answer: We were not of those who prayed 43 "Nor were we of those who fed the indigent; 44 We plunged in with the plungers 45 And we used to call the day of judgment a lie; 46 "Until there came to us (the Hour) that is certain." 47 So no intercession will avail them. 48 What aileth them, therefore, that they are from the admonition turning away? 49 as though they were terrified asses 50 Fleeing from a hunter, or a lion, or a beast of prey. 51 Nay, everyone of them desires that he should be given pages spread out (coming from Allah with a writing that Islam is the right religion, and Muhammad SAW has come with the truth from Allah the Lord of the heavens and earth, etc.). 52 Nay, verily. They fear not the Hereafter. 53 Nay, verily, this (Quran) is an admonition, 54 Let him then who heeds remember it. 55 And they shall not heed unless Allah willeth. He is the Lord of piety, and the Lord of forgiveness. 56
