The All High (Al-A'alaa)
In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful
۞ (Muhammad), glorify the Name of your lord, the Most High, 1 Who has created (everything), and then proportioned it; 2 And Who has measured (preordainments for each and everything even to be blessed or wretched); then guided (i.e. showed mankind the right as well as wrong paths, and guided the animals to pasture); 3 Who brought forth the pasture, 4 Then reduces them to rusty rubbish. 5 We shall enable thee to recite, and then thou shalt not forget, 6 except what Allah should wish. He knows all that is manifest and all that is hidden. 7 We shall take you slowly towards ease. 8 So render good counsel if good counsel will avail. 9 Those who fear will understand. 10 Only the wretch will turn aside, 11 He who will be flung to the great Fire 12 then he shall neither die therein, nor live. 13 But those will prosper who purify themselves, 14 remembering his Lord's name and praying. 15 No; but you prefer the present life, 16 but the Everlasting Life is better, and more enduring. 17 Indeed, this is in the former scriptures, 18 Writs of Ibrahim and Musa. 19
