A numerous company from among the first, 39 and also a large throng from those of later times. 40 And those on the left hand: What of those on the left hand? 41 (they shall live) amid burning winds and boiling water, 42 And the shade of black smoke, 43 Neither cool nor refreshing. 44 Indeed they were among favours before this. 45 and they persisted obstinately in awful sin, 46 And they used to say: "When we die and become dust and bones, shall we then indeed be resurrected? 47 (We) and our fore-fathers of yore?” 48 Say (O Muhammad SAW): "(Yes) verily, those of old, and those of later times. 49 shall be gathered together to the appointed time on a known Day' 50 Then you erring ones, you that cried lies, 51 shall eat the fruit of the tree of Zaqqum, 52 "Then you will fill your bellies therewith, 53 "And drink boiling water on top of it, 54 Lapping it up like female camels raging of thirst with disease." 55 Such will be their dwelling on the Day of Judgment. 56 We created you; therefore why will you not believe? 57 Have you ever considered that [seed] which you emit? 58 Create him ye, or are We the Creator? 59 We have ordained death among you and We are not to be overcome, 60 that We will change you and cause you to grow again in a way you do not know. 61 And indeed, you have already known the first form of creation (i.e. the creation of Adam), why then do you not remember or take heed? 62 Have you considered what you sow? 63 Is it you who cause them to grow or do We? 64 If We willed, We verily could make it chaff, then would ye cease not to exclaim: 65 [Saying], "Indeed, we are [now] in debt; 66 "Nay, but we are deprived!" 67 Behold! the water which ye drink: 68 Is it you that send it down from the clouds or We? 69 Did We will, We would make it bitter; so why are you not thankful? 70 Have you thought about the fire that you kindle. 71 Is it you who produced its tree, or are We the producer? 72 We have made it a reminder and an advantage for the wayfarers of the desert. 73 So glorify the name of your Lord, the Supreme. 74
