Al-Duhaa

The Forenoon (Al-Duhaa)

11 verses, revealed in Mecca after Dawn (Al-Fajr) before Cooling the Temper (Al-Sharrhh)

In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful

By the morning hours 1 and by the calm of night, 2 Your Lord has neither left you, nor despises you. 3 And verily the latter portion will be better for thee than the former, 4 Verily your Lord will soon give you so amply that you will be well-pleased. 5 Did He not find you as an orphan and give you shelter? 6 Did He not find you perplexed, and show you the way? 7 Did He not find you poor and suffice you? 8 As for the orphan, do not oppress him, 9 And do not rebuke the beggar. 10 And proclaim the Grace of your Lord (i.e. the Prophethood and all other Graces). 11

True are the words of God the Almighty.
