Overwhelming (Al-Ghaasheyah)
26 verses, revealed in Mecca after Drivers of the Winds (Al-Dhaareyaat) before The Cave (Al-Kahf)
In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate
Have you heard the story of the overwhelming event (the Day of Judgment)? 1 On that Day, there shall be downcast faces, 2 Labouring (hard), weary,- 3 The while they enter the Blazing Fire,- 4 Given water from the boiling spring to drink. 5 No food will there be for them but a poisonous thorny plant, 6 Which will neither fatten nor avail against hunger. 7 However, on that day the faces of other people will be happy. 8 Rejoicing over their efforts. 9 in a garden sublime, 10 where they will hear no idle talk. 11 therein a running fountain, 12 In which are high thrones. 13 and prepared goblets, 14 And cushions ranged! 15 and carpets spread out. 16 Do (these unbelievers) not observe the camels: how they were created? 17 And at the Sky, how it is raised high?- 18 And the mountains, how they were fixed; 19 And at the earth, how it is spread out? 20 Therefore do thou give admonition, for thou art one to admonish. 21 Thou art not over them a warden. 22 However, those who turn away and disbelieve, 23 God shall chastise him with the greatest chastisement. 24 Lo! unto Us is their return 25 and then it is for Us to call them to account. 26
Allah Almighty has spoken the truth.

Notes and Instructions
ColorfulQuran.com displays pages in one of three Arabic fonts. Each may appear with a one-third chance, adding more diversity to the already diverse colors. And the words remain unchanged forever. ColorfulQuran.com will have more beautiful fonts soon, God willing.
قراءة القرآن مترجماً إلى الإنجليزية أو أية لغة أخرى أشبه بقراءة كتب التفسير من قراءة ترجمات حرفية.
Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
