Do you not see that We have sent devils upon the unbelievers who greatly incite them (to oppose the Truth)? 83 (Muhammad), exercise patience; We have given them respite only for an appointed time. 84 and on the Day when We will ceremonially gather the righteous to the Merciful, 85 And We shall drive the sinners to Hell, like thirsty cattle driven down to water,- 86 People do not own the right to intercede, except those* who have made a covenant with the Most Gracious. (* The Holy Prophets and virtuous people will be given the permission to intercede. Prophet Mohammed – peace and blessings be upon him – will be the first to intercede.) 87 And they say: "The Most Beneficent (Allah) has begotten a son (or offspring or children) [as the Jews say: 'Uzair (Ezra) is the son of Allah, and the Christians say that He has begotten a son ['Iesa (Christ)], and the pagan Arabs say that He has begotten daughters (angels, etc.)]." 88 This is certainly a monstrous lie! 89 Thereby the heavens are nearly torn and the earth split asunder, and mountains fall crashing down 90 because they have ascribed a son to the Merciful. 91 and it behoves not the All-merciful to take a son. 92 There is no one in the heavens and earth but that he comes to the Most Merciful as a servant. 93 He has counted and enumerated them one by one. 94 And each one of them will come unto Him on the Day of Resurrection, alone. 95 Surely Ar-Rahman will show love for those who believe and do the right. 96 So We have only made it easy in your tongue that you may give good news thereby to those who guard (against evil) and warn thereby a vehemently contentious people. 97 And how many a generation have We destroyed before them! Perceivest thou of them anyone or hear of them a whisper? 98
