The Poets (Alshu'araa')
In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful
۞ Ta'. Sin. Mim. 1 These are the verses of the illustrious Book. 2 It may be thou frettest thy soul with grief, that they do not become Believers. 3 We could send down from the heavens a sign to them if We pleased, before which their heads would remain bowed. 4 A fresh remembrance has never come to them from the Merciful, except they turn away from it. 5 Now they have denied (the Truth); but there will come unto them tidings of that whereat they used to scoff. 6 Do they not look at the earth,- how many noble things of all kinds We have produced therein? 7 In this, behold, there is a message [unto men,] even though most of them will not believe [in it]. 8 Your Lord is surely mighty and merciful. 9
