The Comet (Al-Taareq)
17 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Town (Al-Balad) before The Moon (Al-Qamar)
In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
By the Sky and the Night-Visitant (therein);- 1 - Ah, what will tell thee what the Morning Star is! 2 The very brightly shining star! 3 There is not a soul that does not have a guardian over it. 4 So let man look - from what is he created. 5 Created from a gushing fluid. 6 That is issued from between the backs and the ribs. 7 Surely He is able to bring him back 8 on the Day when consciences are examined, 9 Then will he have no might nor any helper. 10 By the sky with its returning rain, 11 And [by] the earth which cracks open, 12 Indeed the Qur’an is a decisive Word. 13 And it is not a thing for amusement. 14 Indeed, they are planning a plan, 15 And I secretly plan. 16 So give a respite to the disbelievers. Deal you gently with them for a while. 17
God Almighty has spoken the truth.
