The Comet (Al-Taareq)
17 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Town (Al-Balad) before The Moon (Al-Qamar)
In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
CONSIDER the heavens and that which comes in the night! 1 - Ah, what will tell thee what the Morning Star is! 2 (It is) the piercing star. 3 For every soul there is a watcher. 4 So let man look - from what is he created. 5 He was created from a fluid, ejected, 6 Coming from between the back and the ribs. 7 Most surely He is able to return him (to life). 8 The day all secrets are examined 9 He will have no strength or helper. 10 By heaven of the returning rain, 11 And the earth which splitteth (with the growth of trees and plants) 12 That this (Qur'an) is a decisive word 13 it is no merriment. 14 Indeed, they are planning a plan, 15 but I shall bring all their scheming to nought. 16 Give respite to the disbelievers and leave them alone for a while. 17
God the Almighty always says the truth.
