The Inevitable (Al-Waaqe'ah)
96 verses, revealed in Mecca after T H (Taa Haa) before The Poets (Alshu'araa')
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
۞ When there happeneth the Event. 1 (and none denies its descending) 2 It will bring down [some] and raise up [others]. 3 When the earth is shaken with convulsion 4 and the mountains fragmented 5 Turned to dust, floating in the air, 6 and you shall be three bands -- 7 (First) those on the right hand; what of those on the right hand? 8 And (then) those on the left hand; what of those on the left hand? 9 And those foremost [(in Islamic Faith of Monotheism and in performing righteous deeds) in the life of this world on the very first call for to embrace Islam,] will be foremost (in Paradise). 10 those are they brought nigh the Throne, 11 In Gardens of Delight. 12 a host of the ancients 13 And a few from those of later times. 14 On couches wrought of gold, 15 reclining upon them, set face to face, 16 immortal youths shall go about them 17 Cups and decanters, beakers full of sparkling wine, 18 Whereby there shall be neither headiness nor will they be inebriated. 19 And with fruit from that which they choose. 20 And the flesh of fowl such as they desire. 21 And gorgeous eyed fair maidens. 22 Like pearls safely hidden. 23 A Reward for the deeds of their past (life). 24 Not frivolity will they hear therein, nor any taint of ill,- 25 Only the saying, "Peace! Peace". 26 And those on the right hand; what of those on the right hand? 27 Amid thornless lote-trees, 28 And clustered plantains, 29 and spreading shade 30 Gushing water, 31 And fruit, abundant [and varied], 32 unfailing, unforbidden, 33 And couches raised up. 34 Verily, We have created them (maidens) of special creation. 35 And have made them virgins. 36 Loving (their husbands only), equal in age. 37 For those on the right hand; 38

عند قراءة القرآن الملون في وضعية اللغة العربية المرسومة بالأحرف الإنجليزية، قد لا تلاحظ وجود منظومة برمجية مصممة لمطابقة متطلبات علامات الوقف في النص العربي الأصلي. فكما تعلم، يحتوي القرآن على خمسة أنواع رئيسية من علامات الوقف. (1) وقف لازم، حيث يستخدم الرسم الإنجليزي نقطة وقف. (2) وقف جائز مع الوقف أولى، حيث يستخدم الرسم الإنجليزي فاصلة قد تظهر باحتمال الثلثين. When reading the Colorful Quran in English transliterated Arabic mode, you may not notice that there is an algorithm designed to match the pause requirements of the original Arabic scripture, (waqf signs). As you may know, the original Arabic Quran has five main types of pauses, (waqf) signs. (1) Compulsory break, where the transliteration uses a full stop. (2) Optional pause with the preference for pausing, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a probability of two thirds. (3) Optional stop with an equal preference for pausing and resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a half-half probability. (4) Optional pause with the preference for resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a chance of one third. (5) Attraction pause, also called hugging, or (mu’anaka) sign, where it is compulsory to pause at either one of two nearby positions, but not both; where the transliteration inserts a comma at either one of the two locations with a half-half probability.
