a large throng from the ancients, 39 And a multitude from the later generations. 40 Those on the Left: how unfortunate are those on the Left! 41 They will find themselves in scorching wind and scalding water, 42 And the shade of black smoke, 43 Neither cool nor honorable. 44 They had been affluent before, 45 and persisted in the great sin 46 ever saying, 'What, when we are dead and become dust and bones, shall we indeed be raised up? 47 Or our fathers of yore? 48 (Muhammad), say, "All the ancient and later generations 49 will indeed be gathered together at a fixed time on an appointed Day. 50 Then you, you misguided ones, who deny the truth, 51 Will be eating from trees of zaqqum 52 "Then you will fill your bellies therewith, 53 "And drink Boiling Water on top of it: 54 And drink as drinks the thirsty camel. 55 Such will be their dwelling on the Day of Judgment. 56 WE who have created you, [O men:] why, then, do you not accept the truth? 57 Have you considered the seed? 58 Is it you who create it - or are We the source of its creation? 59 It is We who have ordained death for all of you; and We cannot be prevented 60 That We may transfigure you and make you what ye know not. 61 And you have indeed learnt about the first creation, so why do you not ponder? 62 Have ye seen that which ye cultivate? 63 Do you yourselves sow it, or are We the Sowers? 64 If We willed, surely We would make it chaff, so that ye would be left wondering. 65 'We are debt-loaded; 66 Rather, we have been prevented' 67 Have you thought about the water you drink? 68 Do you send it down from the clouds, or We send it down? 69 If We willed, We could make it bitter, so why are you not grateful? 70 Tell Me! The fire which you kindle, 71 Did you make its timber to grow, or did We make it? 72 We! it is We Who made it a reminder and a provision unto the campers. 73 (Muhammad), glorify your Lord, the Great One. 74

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
