The All High (Al-A'alaa)
19 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Rolling (Al-Takweer) before The Night (Al-Layl)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
۞ Glorify the name of thy Guardian-Lord Most High, 1 Who has created (everything), and then proportioned it; 2 who has ordained and guided, 3 And Who bringeth out the (green and luscious) pasture, 4 And [then] makes it black stubble. 5 We shall make thee recite, to forget not 6 except whatever God wills; He knows both what is manifest and what is hidden -- 7 We shall take you slowly towards ease. 8 Therefor remind (men), for of use is the reminder. 9 He who fears [God] will heed the reminder, 10 but aloof from it will remain that most hapless wretch 11 and suffer the heat of the great fire 12 then he shall neither die therein, nor live. 13 Lasting happiness will be for those who purify themselves, 14 And remembers (glorifies) the Name of his Lord (worships none but Allah), and prays (five compulsory prayers and Nawafil additional prayers). 15 But you prefer the worldly life, 16 but the Everlasting Life is better, and more enduring. 17 Indeed, this is in the former scriptures, 18 The Books of Abraham and Moses. 19
True are the words of God the Almighty.
