Al-Dukhaan 2 of 3
And indeed, We delivered the children of Israel from the shameful suffering 30 from Pharaoh who was most prominent among the prodigals. 31 And We certainly chose them by knowledge over [all] the worlds. 32 And sent them tokens to bring out the best in them. 33 Verily, these (Quraish) people are saying: 34 There is naught but our first death, and we shall not be raised again. 35 Bring back to us our fathers if you are truthful.” 36 Are they better, or the people of Tubba' and those before them whom We destroyed? They were surely sinners. 37 It was not in play that We created the heavens and the earth and all that is between them. 38 We created them not save with a purpose but most of them know not. 39 The appointed time for all of them will be the Day of Judgment 40 A Day whereon a friend shall not avail a friend at all, nor shall they be helped. 41 Save those on whom Allah will have mercy. Verily He! He is the Mighty, the Merciful. 42
