The Inevitable (Al-Waaqe'ah)

In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace
۞ When the Occurrence occurs, 1 and there can be no denying its happening, 2 Abasing (some), exalting (others); 3 When the earth is violently shaken 4 and the mountains crumbled 5 So that they become dust seattered. 6 You will become three categories: 7 The People on the Right: and how fortunate will be the People on the Right! 8 The people of the left hand - those whose books of records will be placed in their left hands. How miserable they will be! 9 The third to the fore shall be the foremost. 10 those are they brought nigh the Throne, 11 In Gardens of Bliss: 12 A [large] company of the former peoples 13 and only a few of them from the later generations. 14 They (will be seated) on gold-encrusted couches, 15 they shall recline, facing each other, 16 they will be waited on by ageless youths 17 With goblets and ewers and a cup of limpid drink. 18 which will not cause them any intoxication or illness. 19 And fruits that they may like. 20 and any flesh of fowl that they desire. 21 And (there are) fair ones with wide, lovely eyes, 22 like the pearls in their shells: 23 [And this will be] a reward for what they did [in life]. 24 They will not hear any useless speech in it, or any sin. 25 Only a saying: "Peace, peace." 26 NOW AS FOR those who have attained to righteousness - what of those who have attained to righteousness? 27 [They will be] among lote trees with thorns removed 28 and flower-clad acacias, 29 and amid the extended shade 30 and waters gushing, 31 and fruits abounding 32 Neither limited [to season] nor forbidden, 33 and raised couches 34 We have created maidens perfectly 35 And made them virgins, 36 Loving, equals in age, 37 with those who have attained to righteousness: 38

عند قراءة القرآن الملون في وضعية اللغة العربية المرسومة بالأحرف الإنجليزية، قد لا تلاحظ وجود منظومة برمجية مصممة لمطابقة متطلبات علامات الوقف في النص العربي الأصلي. فكما تعلم، يحتوي القرآن على خمسة أنواع رئيسية من علامات الوقف. (1) وقف لازم، حيث يستخدم الرسم الإنجليزي نقطة وقف. (2) وقف جائز مع الوقف أولى، حيث يستخدم الرسم الإنجليزي فاصلة قد تظهر باحتمال الثلثين. (3) وقف جائز مع تساوي أولوية الوقف والوصل، حيث يستخدم الرسم الإنجليزي فاصلة قد تظهر باحتمال النصف للنصف. (4) وقف جائز مع الوصل أولى، حيث يستخدم الرسم الإنجليزي فاصلة قد تظهر باحتمال الثلث. When reading the Colorful Quran in English transliterated Arabic mode, you may not notice that there is an algorithm designed to match the pause requirements of the original Arabic scripture, (waqf signs). As you may know, the original Arabic Quran has five main types of pauses, (waqf) signs. (1) Compulsory break, where the transliteration uses a full stop. (2) Optional pause with the preference for pausing, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a probability of two thirds. (3) Optional stop with an equal preference for pausing and resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a half-half probability. (4) Optional pause with the preference for resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a chance of one third. (5) Attraction pause, also called hugging, or (mu’anaka) sign, where it is compulsory to pause at either one of two nearby positions, but not both; where the transliteration inserts a comma at either one of the two locations with a half-half probability.
