He Frowned ('Abasa)
42 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Stars (Al-Najm) before Destiny (Al-Qadr)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
۞ HE FROWNED and turned away 1 when the blind came to him. 2 But what would make you perceive, [O Muhammad], that perhaps he might be purified 3 Or take heed and so the reminder might avail him? 4 As for him who considers himself free from need (of you), 5 you attended to him, 6 What does it matter to you if he will not become pure (from disbelief, you are only a Messenger, your duty is to convey the Message of Allah). 7 And as to him who comes to you striving hard, 8 And he feareth 9 you ignore him. 10 Nay, but verily it is an Admonishment, 11 (and whoso wills, shall remember it) 12 (This Quran) is also recorded in honorable books, 13 exalted and purified, 14 by the hands of scribes 15 noble and most virtuous. 16 Man is (self-)destroyed: how ungrateful! 17 Of what did He create him? 18 Of a sperm-drop He created him, and determined him, 19 Then eased the way for him. 20 Then gave him death, so had him put in the grave. 21 Then, when He willed, He brought him out. (As during the night of Holy Prophet’s ascension, when all the Prophets gathered behind him in the Al Aqsa mosque in Jerusalem. Or when Allah will raise everyone on the Day of Resurrection.) 22 Nay, but (man) has not done what He commanded him. 23 Let the human reflect on the food he eats, 24 how We pour down rain in abundance, 25 Then We cleave the earth, cleaving (it) asunder, 26 Then We cause to grow therein the grain, 27 and vines, and reeds, 28 And Olives and Dates, 29 And dense gardens, 30 And fruits and fodder: 31 [As] enjoyment for you and your grazing livestock. 32 Then, when there comes As-Sakhkhah (the Day of Resurrection's second blowing of Trumpet), 33 On the day when a man fleeth from his brother 34 and from his mother and father, 35 And his wife and his children, 36 For every one of them on that Day shall be business enough to occupy 37 On that day faces will be bright as dawn, 38 Laughing, rejoicing at good news (of Paradise). 39 And (many) faces on that day, on them shall be dust, 40 o'erspread with darkness -- 41 These are they who are unbelievers, the wicked. 42
Almighty God's Truth.

Notes and Instructions
قراءة القرآن مترجماً إلى الإنجليزية أو أية لغة أخرى أشبه بقراءة كتب التفسير من قراءة ترجمات حرفية.
Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
