The All High (Al-A'alaa)
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
۞ Hallow thou the name of thine Lord, the Most High, 1 Who has created (everything), and then proportioned it; 2 who determined and guided, 3 Who bringeth forth the pasturage, 4 then turns it into black stubble. 5 We will make you recite so you shall not forget, 6 Unless God may please. He knows the visible and knows what is hidden. 7 And We shall ease thy way unto the state of ease. 8 So render good counsel if good counsel will avail. 9 Soon whoever fears will heed advice. 10 And the most unfortunate one will avoid it, 11 He will be cast into the Great Fire. 12 Wherein he shall neither die nor live, 13 He is successful who groweth, 14 And mentions the name of his Lord and prays. 15 No; but you prefer the present life, 16 but the Everlasting Life is better, and more enduring. 17 This indeed is what is taught in the former scriptures -- 18 the scriptures of Abraham and Moses. 19
