The Comet (Al-Taareq)
17 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Town (Al-Balad) before The Moon (Al-Qamar)
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
By the sky, and by the nightly comer! 1 And what will make you know what the comer by night is? 2 (It is a nightly radiant star). 3 No human soul but hath a guardian over it. 4 So let man see from what he is created! 5 He was created of a gushing fluid, 6 Proceeding from between the back-bone and the ribs, 7 Verily He is Able to restore him, 8 On the day when hidden thoughts shall be searched out. 9 He shall have neither strength nor helper. 10 By the sky which returns [rain] 11 by the earth cracking open with new growth. 12 Verily, it is a discourse distinguishing. 13 It is not a thing for amusement. 14 Surely they will make a scheme, 15 But I am planning a plan. 16 So allow time for the disbelievers. Leave them awhile. 17
God the Almighty always says the truth.
