The All Compassionate (Al-Rahman)
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
۞ The Most Merciful 1 Has taught (you mankind) the Quran (by His Mercy). 2 He created the human being 3 He taught distinctness. 4 The sun and the moon follow courses (exactly) computed; 5 And the herbs (or stars) and the trees both prostrate. 6 And the heaven He has raised high, and He has set up the Balance. 7 so that you [too, O men,] might never transgress the measure [of what is right]: 8 Give just weight and do not skimp the scales. 9 And the earth, He has set it for living creatures; 10 Wherein are fruit and sheathed palm-trees, 11 and grain in the blade, and fragrant herbs. 12 So O men and jinns! Which favour of your Lord will you deny? 13 He created man of clay like, unto pottery. 14 And He created the jinn from a smokeless flame of fire. 15 Which then of the bounties of your Lord will you deny? 16 (He is) Lord of the two Easts and Lord of the two Wests: 17 (Jinn and mankind) - which of the favors of your Lord do you then deny? 18 He has let forth the two seas, they meet together, 19 There is a barrier between them. They encroach not (one upon the other). 20 So O men and jinns! Which favour of your Lord will you deny? 21 From both of them emerge pearl and coral. 22 Which favors of your Lord will you both belie? 23 To Him only belong the sailing ships, raised above the sea like hills. 24 So which of the favors of your Lord would you deny? 25
