Did you (O Muhammad SAW) observe him who turned away (from Islam). 33 And he gave a little, then refrained? 34 Does he [claim to] have knowledge of something that is beyond the reach of human perception, so that he can see [it clearly]? 35 Or hath he not had news of what is in the books of Moses 36 and of Abraham, who to his trust was true: 37 That no soul laden bears the load of another, 38 And that man hath only that for which he maketh effort, 39 and that in time [the nature of] all his striving will be shown [to him in its true light,] 40 Then he will be recompensed with a full and the best recompense. 41 And that to your Lord is your returning; 42 and that He it is Who causes people to laugh and to cry, 43 and that He it is Who causes death and grants life, 44 And that He creates the two mates - the male and female - 45 from an ejected drop of sperm; 46 And that [incumbent] upon Him is the next creation 47 that it is He who gives wealth and possessions; 48 That He is the Lord of Sirius; 49 and that it is He who destroyed the ancient [tribes of] Ad 50 and Thamood, sparing no one, 51 and before them the nation of Noah, they exceeded in evil and were insolent. 52 And He destroyed the overthrown cities [of Sodom to which Prophet Lout (Lot) was sent]. 53 so that there came upon them that which came. 54 Then which of the gifts of thy Lord, (O man,) wilt thou dispute about? 55 This is a (Prophet) like that of the ancient warners (Prophets). 56 that [Last Hour] which is so near draws ever nearer, 57 Of it, [from those] besides Allah, there is no remover. 58 Do ye then wonder at this recital? 59 Will you laugh at it rather than weep? 60 And you are lost in play! 61 But fall ye down in prostration to Allah, and adore (Him)! ۩ 62
