Did you (O Muhammad SAW) observe him who turned away (from Islam). 33 and gives so little [of himself for the good of his soul,] and so grudgingly? 34 Or, does he possess knowledge of the Unseen, and can therefore see? 35 Or, has he not been told of that which is in the Scrolls of Moses 36 and Abraham, who paid his debt in full? 37 that no soul shall bear the burden of another; 38 And that man shall have nothing but what he strives for- 39 and that his work is surely seen 40 and will be fully recompensed for his deeds. 41 that all things in the end shall return to God; 42 And that He it is Who makes (men) laugh and makes (them) weep; 43 And He who ordains death and life; 44 and that He Himself created the two kinds, male and female, 45 from a discharged living germ 46 and on Him depends the life hereafter. 47 that it is He who gives wealth and possessions; 48 and that it is He who is the Lord of Sirius, 49 And that it is He Who destroyed the (powerful) ancient 'Ad (people), 50 and Thamud tribes, 51 And the people of Noah before. Indeed, it was they who were [even] more unjust and oppressing. 52 And He overthrew the Cities of the Plain, 53 And covered them by that which He covered. 54 Then which of the gifts of thy Lord, (O man,) wilt thou dispute about? 55 This is a Warner, of the (series of) Warners of old! 56 The Approaching Day has approached. 57 None besides Allah can avert it, (or advance it, or delay it). 58 Do you, perchance, find this tiding strange? 59 And you laugh at it and weep not, 60 Wasting your time in vanities? 61 So bow yourselves before God, and serve Him! ۩ 62
