Shattering (Al-Infitaar)
In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate
۞ When the heavens are rent asunder, 1 when the stars are scattered, 2 When the Oceans are suffered to burst forth; 3 when the tombs are overthrown, 4 Each soul will know what it had sent ahead and what it had left behind. 5 O man! What has deceived you away from your Lord, the Most Beneficent? 6 who created you, fashioned you and proportioned you, 7 In whatever Form He wills, does He put thee together. 8 No indeed; but you cry lies to the Doom; 9 And most surely there are keepers over you 10 Illustrious scribes 11 who know whatever you do. 12 Lo! the righteous verily will be in delight. 13 and the libertines shall be in a fiery furnace 14 They shall enter it on the day of judgment. 15 And they (Al-Fujjar) will not be absent therefrom (i.e. will not go out from the Hell). 16 What do you know what the Day of Recompense is? 17 Again, what do you know what the Day of Recompense is? 18 It is the Day when no one shall have the power to do anything for another, and all command shall be Allah's. 19
