Elucidated (Fussilat)
In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful
Ha, Meem. 1 A revelation from the most benevolent, ever-merciful, 2 A Book whereof the verses are detailed; an Arabic Qur'an, for a people who know. 3 As a giver of good tidings and a warner; but most of them turn away, so they do not hear. 4 And say: "Our hearts are immured against what you call us to. There is a deafness in our ears, and a veil lies between us and you. So act (your way), we are acting (ours)." 5 Say: I am only a mortal like you; it is revealed to me that your Allah is one Allah, therefore follow the right way to Him and ask His forgiveness; and woe to the polytheists; 6 Those who do not give the obligatory charity, and who deny the Hereafter. 7 Verily those who believe and work righteous works - unto them shall be a hire unceasing. 8
