In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
By oath of those that are sent, one after the other. (The verses of the Holy Qur’an or the angels or the winds). 1 Then by oath of those that push with a strong gust. 2 Which scatter clouds to their destined places, 3 Then separate them, one from another, 4 And those that bring down the Reminder 5 to provide excuses for some and to give warnings to others: 6 BEHOLD, all that you are told to expect will surely come to pass. 7 When the stars lose their light, 8 And when the sky is split apart. 9 And when the mountains are carried away as dust, 10 The Messengers will receive their appointments. 11 For what day is that time fixed? 12 For the Day of Decision. 13 And what do you know, what the Day of Decision is! 14 Woe, that Day, to the deniers. 15 Did We not destroy the former generations? 16 and then follow them with the later folk? 17 [for] thus do We deal with such as are lost in sin. 18 Woe on that Day to those that give the lie to the Truth! 19 Did We not create you from a weak water, 20 The which We placed in a place of rest, firmly fixed, 21 for an appointed term? 22 We determined; excellent determiners are We. 23 Woe, on that Day unto those who give the lie to the truth! 24 Did We not make the earth a storehouse? 25 Both for the living and the dead, 26 and did We not firmly fix towering mountains on it and give you sweet water to drink? 27 Woe that Day to the deniers (of the Day of Resurrection)! 28 GO ON towards that [resurrection] which you were wont to call a lie! 29 Depart unto the shadow three branched: 30 Neither shady nor protecting against the blazing Fire. 31 It will throw out sparks as logs of wood 32 Seeming like yellow camels. 33 Woe on that day unto the beliers! 34 That will be a Day when they shall not be able to speak. 35 nor shall they be permitted to offer excuses. 36 Woe on that day to the rejecters. 37 This is the Day of Judgement. We have assembled you all together with past generations. 38 If now ye have any wit, outwit Me. 39 Woe on that day to the rejecters. 40
