Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace
By (the wind) those sent (as horses') mane (in succession), 1 and then storming on with a tempest's force! 2 And scatter (things) far and wide; 3 and the severally severing 4 By those who bring down the Reminder, 5 excusing or warning, 6 Assuredly, what ye are promised must come to pass. 7 Thus, [it will come to pass] when the stars are effaced, 8 and when the sky is rent asunder, 9 And when the mountains are blown away 10 and when the Messengers' time is set 11 for what Day has this been appointed? 12 For the Day of Decision. 13 And what will explain to you what is the Day of sorting out? 14 Woe on that Day to those who belied it! 15 Did We not destroy the earlier peoples? 16 So shall We make later generations to follow them. 17 This is how We deal with the guilty. 18 Woe on that Day to those who belied it! 19 Did We not create you from an abject fluid? 20 Then We placed it in a secure resting-place, 21 For a known calculated term. 22 We determined; excellent determiners are We. 23 Alas the woe that day for those who deny! 24 Did We not make the earth a storehouse? 25 the living and the dead? 26 Set We not therein soaring mountains? Sated you with sweetest water? 27 Woe, that Day, to the deniers. 28 Depart to that you cried was lies! 29 Walk on to the covering having three branches, 30 Neither having the coolness of the shade nor availing against the flame. 31 Indeed hell throws up sparks like huge castles. 32 as black camels. 33 Woe that Day to the deniers (of the Day of Resurrection)! 34 That will be a Day when they shall not speak (during some part of it), 35 And they will not be permitted to put forth any excuse. 36 Woe that Day to the deniers (of the Day of Resurrection)! 37 Such is the Day of Decision. We will gather you with the ancients. 38 So if you have a plan, plan against Me (now). 39 Woe on that Day unto those who give the lie to the truth! 40
