The Comet (Al-Taareq)
17 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Town (Al-Balad) before The Moon (Al-Qamar)
In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
By the heaven and the Morning Star 1 And have you understood what the nightly arriver is? 2 (It is) the Star of piercing brightness;- 3 [for] no human being has ever been left unguarded. 4 Let the human being reflect that from what he has been created. 5 He was created from a fluid, ejected, 6 That issueth from between the loins and the breast-bones. 7 Verily, (Allah) is Able to bring him back (to life)! 8 The Day when all the secrets (deeds, prayers, fasting, etc.) will be examined (as to their truth). 9 he shall have no power, and no helper. 10 By oath of the sky from which comes down the rain. 11 and the earth, bursting forth with plants! 12 the Quran is the final word, 13 not a flippant jest. 14 They (disbelievers) plot every evil plan, 15 and I too am devising a guile. 16 So give a respite to the disbelievers. Deal you gently with them for a while. 17
Almighty Allah's Truth.
